SYNOPSIS

What’s the point of making the numbers but not making a difference? What’s the point of being a brilliant leader in the workplace but a failure at home? What’s the point of building great relationships but underdelivering on promised outcomes?

In Your Leadership Diamond, Paul Mitchell, founder and managing director of the human enterprise reveals how in a period of just seven weeks, you can take your leadership to a whole new level. He inspires us to see ourselves as diamonds that just need a little polishing to really shine. You’ll discover simple, practical advice, for time-poor leaders who wish to transform the way they lead at work, at home and in their communities.

ENDORSEMENTS

"Paul’s emphasis on leading in all areas of your life is exactly the sort of leadership to which we should be aspiring. He recognises that to become a better leader, you need to become a better person. The ideas in this book give you an enormous boost to take you from where you are now to where you need to be."

“I was fortunate to come across Paul at what was a very difficult time for me and for my business. Paul’s coaching and approach to becoming a better person in order to be a better leader were (and I don’t use this word often) transformational. Working on the seven facets that Paul explores in his book has helped me to become a more grounded, confident, energetic, and ultimately happier CEO, husband, and father.”

STUART GRAINGER - Chief Executive Officer, George Weston Foods

“This is a lovely, warm, passionate book full of practical advice to all of those who aspire to leadership. It’s written in a down-to-earth, unpretentious style. It will be useful at work, at home, and in your communities. People will find advice that they can act upon and will make a difference.”

LONG BIO

Paul Mitchell has been inspiring leaders in all walks of life for over thirty-five years. His unique background in education, psychology, and business has seen him become an authority and trusted colleague to some of Asia-Pacific’s most senior leaders.

As the managing director and founder of the human enterprise, he has always had one simple and clear message: you can create great enterprises and still make them truly human.

He has two main areas of focus. One is inspiring leaders at every level of the organisation, irrespective of their position or title, to take full responsibility for their own lives and for total organisational results. The other is encouraging leaders to lead in all areas of their lives, not just business. These core beliefs have seen him deliver leadership coaching services, development programmes, facilitation, and keynotes in over fifteen countries with well over ten thousand leaders.

Paul has a bachelor’s in social science, a master of arts in psychology, and a diploma of education. He is a founding member of The Interest Group in Coaching Psychology in Australia, as well as a certified Marshall Goldsmith Executive Coach.

Paul lives in Sydney with his wife, Deborah, and is passionate about family, golf, snow skiing, surfing, great music, the arts, and the leadership mindset. His charity of choice is Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia, where he served as a NSW advisory board member for over six years; he continues to provide pro bono leadership development services.
